Ferdinand Freudenstein (12 May 1926 – 30 March 2006) was a long time professor of mechanical engineering at Columbia University and is considered the "father of modern Kinematics". This small collection consists primarily of publications (primarily scientific research papers) written by or co-authored by Freudenstein. It also includes a sampling of course materials for classes he taught, his CVs, some of the awards and citations presented to him, material related to his many patents, and some correspondence.
