Biographical / historical:

Pachy nació en Pinar del Río, Cuba, en 1964. Su madre era una obrera rural y su padre, veterinario. En 1981, Pachy se incorporó al servicio militar. Se graduó en 1984, con conocimientos en aeronáutica que le permitieron continuar siendo militar. Fue especialista en caja negra hasta que decidió solicitar la baja de la milicia. Pachy fue un hombre abiertamente homosexual. Pachy fue entrevistado para el proyecto que culminó en la publicación del libro How Things Fall Apart. El nombre es un seudónimo para el proyecto

Pachy was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, in 1964. His mother was a rural worker and his father was a veterinarian. In 1981, Pachy joined the military service. He graduated in 1984, with a background in aeronautics that allowed him to remain in the military. He was a black box specialist until he decided to apply for discharge from the military. Pachy was an openly homosexual man. Pachy was interviewed for the project that led to the book How Things Fall Apart. The name is a pseudonym for the project
