Scope and content:

Notebook with holograph manuscript entitled "Avtobiografiia M. G. Chernyaeva" written by unidentified person. The preface to the autobiography states that "Autobigraphy of M. G. Cherniaev was written down by the editor of "Russkaia Starina," Mikhail Ivanovich Semevskii, or rather a member of his editorial board ... Mikh. Iv. Semevskii sent it to Chernyaev for approval."

Mikhail Grigor'evich Cherniaev (1828 – 1898), Russian Lieutenant-General, Turkestan Governor-General, Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Army (Moravian Corps of the Serbian Army), politician.
