Graphic designs for newspapers, promotions, magazines, books, and related work by Silverstein. He primarily worked for the New York Times, regional U.S. newspapers, foreign newspapers, and other organizations. Includes correspondence, notes, sample newspaper issues, photographs, and negatives from his consulting projects. Also includes Silverstein's drawings, monoprints, and other artwork.

Biographical / historical:

American artist and graphic designer who is best known for his work at The New York Times. He was inducted into the Art Directors Hall of Fame in 1984.

33 flat boxes of designs, newspapers, and other materials related to Silverstein's career. Eight of the boxes have mold.
