Dmitrii Aleksandrovich Levchik, Russian Historian and Journalist, was born in 1962 in Moscow. In 1985, he graduated with honors from Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute. From 1987 until 1994, Levchik worked at the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Science, the leading academic research institute in Russia. After defeating his PhD dissertation, he started working as a consultant for the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation and later for the Administration of the President. He authored two scholarly monographs and more than 100 articles on the strike movements and Russian and American history.
