Charlotte Goldberg worked with AIUSA on human rights violations and prisoners of conscience cases in Chile, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Vietnam, and the US during the 1970s. Goldberg visited and corresponded with Imari A. Obadele, also known as Richard Henry, who was serving a 12-year term after being convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm and conspiracy. Obadele maintained that he was a political prisoner, targeted by the FBI's COINTELPRO operation. Goldberg is based in Massachusetts.
