Abstract:: This collection consists of materials from Boys, Butches, and Bros, a Barnard College student club.
Extent:: 0.21 Linear Feet (1 half hollinger box; 1 flat file) and .158 Gigabytes (140 files)

Scope and content:: The records include training documents; foundational documents, such as a club constitution; administrative materials like meeting minutes, event planning materials, programming notes, and membership lists; and event ephemera, such as posters, photography, flyers, and invitations. This collection also includes other communications materials like mass emails, newsletters, and zines.
Biographical / historical:: Boys, Butches and Bros (BBB) was founded in 2021 with a focus on building trans, nonbinary and gender non-conforming community on campus. Their mission statement says "Our mission is to provide a space for trans and gender non-conforming students at Barnard. We aim to promote connection between students of similar gender experience and to foster the personal growth of members through community. Through this, we aim to advance conversations around gender and gender experience on campus, with the goal of increasing awareness of issues faced by trans and gender non-conforming students" (BBB Instagram Post, 2023).

In April 2025, Olivia Newsome accessioned and minimally processed this collection. In June 2025, Olivia Newsome processed this collection.

Acquisition information:

The majority of the collection was transferred to the Barnard Archives in 2025 by Ruben Carter.

Arrangement:

To improve access to the collection, during reprocessing the archivist rearranged the collection into two series that align with the club's internal organization, each of which is further organized into multiple sub-series. The collection is intellectually arranged in this collection guide according to these series. Additionally, the archivist completed high-level physical rearrangement to allow the digital materials to be easily integrated into a single system of arrangement. The archivist placed the digital documents, at the highest directory level, into a new folder with a new file name. The arrangement of the collection is as follows: Series 1, Administrative materials
