This series consists of recordings of campus events, performances, and course-related events recorded by Barnard's Media Services office. Formats include DVDs, MiniDVs, VHS tapes, and digital files. Of special interest are recordings of lectures and panels featuring Gwendolyn Brooks, Julian Bond, Anna Quindlen; recordings of the Dance Uptown performance series; recordings of annual Dance and Theatre departmental performances; and recordings of the On Dance lecture and panel series.

This series is arranged into two subseries. The first subseries, which is comprised of various formats of physical media, is arranged in roughly chronological order and was inventoried in two separate item-level inventories, which have been incorporated into the finding aid (save for one box, box 45, which is uninventoried). The second subseries is comprised of digital files which are contained on hard drives and have not been transferred or formally inventoried (a file listing is attached to the finding aid).

- The majority of this collection can only be viewed on-site, due to intellectual property and student records restrictions.

- Permission to publish material from the collection must be requested from the Barnard Archives and Special Collections. The Barnard College Archives approves permission to publish that which it physically owns; the responsibility to secure copyright permission rests with the patron. Large portions of this collection may not be reproduced due to copyright and student records restrictions.
