Scope and content:

This collection consists of three scrapbooks compiled by Barnard alumna Charlotte Gabor DuBois, class of 1942, during her time at Barnard and a few years after. Material in the scrapbooks includes wedding and baby arrival announcements, Alumnae Association and Interfaith Council correspondence, news clippings about Barnard, programs from church services, Barnard College Club of New York City and Barnard-in-Westchester materials, correspondence about Phi Beta Kappa, and correspondence from the Morgan Guaranty Trust where she worked after graduating from Barnard. Of note are those materials, mostly news clippings, that show Barnard during World War II.

Biographical / historical:

Charlotte Rose Gabor was born in 1922 in New York City. She graduated from Barnard College in 1942 and started work at the Morgan Guaranty Trust in Manhattan where she worked until 1947. DuBois married Alton A. DuBois Jr. in 1947.
