This collection consists of records of the Barnard College Psychology department, including financial records, plans for department facilities renovations, and materials related to teaching and the curriculum.

Scope and content:

The collection contains correspondence and financial records regarding major renovation of department offices and facilities, as well as records relating to guest lecturers and faculty payroll; materials relating to faculty pay and the purchasing of instructional material; copies of the Barnard Journal of Psychology; and departmental data including registration information. Of particular note are surveys of students regarding their experience with the Department of Psychology and activiites after graduation. These surveys were conducted by current students under faculty supervision and were completed over a period of decades.
