Scope and content:

Emanon was a literary magazine, published and edited by Barnard students. The magazine contains poetry, prose, and visual art. Emanon accepted submissions from Barnard and Columbia students and alumni, as well as members of the Morningside Heights community. Notable works in the magazine include poems by Ntozake Shange (nee Paulette Williams) and New York State author Mary Gordon.
