This collection consists of materials from the Committee on Honors.

Scope and content:

This collection includes two books from 1902-1940 of reports, meeting minutes, and notes of the Committee on Honors. The one folder of materials from 2000-2005 contain correspondence between the Committee on Honors and other Barnard committees and administrative offices.

Missing meeting materials after 1940-1951 and 1977 onwards. There are inconsistent meeting minutes from 1952-1976.

Acquisition information:: The bound books were transferred from the office of the Registrar in 1992. The folder of correspondence from 2000-2005 was transferred from the office of Insititutional Effectiveness in 2023. The folder of commmittee materials from 1952-1976 was transferred in July 2024 from the Provost's Office.
Processing information:: In April 2024, Olivia Newsome moved this collection from a previous record group, BC19 (Committees), to the current record group, BC06 (Faculty Committees), to reflect the fact that it is a faculty committee. Olivia Newsome also updated the finding aid.
Arrangement:: This collection is arranged chronologically.
Accruals:: Additions are expected.
