The collection -- composed of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, photographs and printed materials -- sheds light on the anti-Bolshevik campaign in the Kuban ́region, Siberia and the Far East. The correspondence is chiefly from the early 1920s and includes letters from Viktor Pokrovskiĭ to his brother Boris. Among the manuscripts are biographical sketches of Viktor Pokrovskiĭ, especially accounts of his assassination in Bulgaria in 1922; information circulars sent out by Ataman Grigoriĭ Semenov, "Commander in Chief of the Far Eastern Armies;" and reports written by Boris Pokrovskiĭ on events in Europe, particularly Eastern Europe, and the Far East. The documents are comprised primarily of decrees (prigovory) from local Kuban ́Cossack groups and the photographs are chiefly portraits of Viktor Pokrovskiĭ. Included among the printed materials are clippings from the Russian and emigre press, a large number of Civil War broadsides and political pamphlets published in Siberia in 1919. Several of the latter are by and about Ataman Semenov.

The collection consists of professional papers, correspondence, photographs, music, writings, and artwork of Jack and Irene Delano. Materials document their work with the Farm Security Administration (FSA), public television station WIPR, and Puerto Rican government educational agency DIVEDCO (División de Educación de la Comunidad; Puerto Rican Division of Community Education), as well as many personal projects inspired by Puerto Rican history and culture. The collection contains black and white photographic prints and negatives, drawings, publication designs, fine art prints, posters, musical scores, screenplays, exhibit catalogs, and ephemera. Works represented include photography books Contrasts/Contrastes and Puerto Rico Mío and illustrated books Sabios Árboles, Mágicos Árboles, Los Aguinaldos del Infante, Los Milagros en Metal y en Cera de Puerto Rico, Plenas, The Conquest of Puerto Rico, The Emperor's New Clothes, En Busca de (In Search of) Maestro Rafael Cordero, and Coquí by Tomás Blanco. Also present are materials relating to documentary films by Jack Delano such as Los Peloteros, El Legado de Arturo Alfonso Schomburg, and La Gaceta.

Collection includes material by and related to Albert Rhys Williams. The bulk of the materials in the collection appear to be Albert Rhys Williams' writings and published materials (in English and Russian). A small amount of correspondence, photographs, and other materials is also present in the collection.

Incoming correspondence of Henry Smith Munroe (born Henry Munroe Smith) composed of personal letters from various family members, chief correspondents being his father, Horatio Southgate Smith, his mother, Susan Dwight (Munroe) Smith, his brother "Ned", apparently Columbia professor of international law (Edmund) Munroe Smith, and William Allen Smith. These letters date from 1855 through 1875, covering his childhood, school days, and first positions as an assistant chemist in the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, 1870-1872, and as a member of the geological survey in Yesso, Japan, 1872-1875. After a lapse of fifteen years, correspondence resumes for the period 1890-1896. Other correspondence includes letters from friends, 1865-1875; letters of a business and professional nature, 1870-1875; 1890-1899; and letters relating to a School of Mines alumni project, the Trowbridge Memorial Fund, 1894-1898. Also, incoming letters from Munroe's paternal grandparents to his father while he attended Dartmouth College and Bowdoin Medical School from 1837 to 1844.

Included are Sanger's personal diaries (1936-1967) relating to WQXR. Also included is a complete bound file of the WQXR PROGRAM GUIDE (June 1936-December 1963) containing a record of the broadcasting of classical music in New York City, the daily schedule, and essays on composers, music festivals, individual compositions and music in general by such writers as Irwin Edman, Will Durant, M. Lincoln Schuster, Edward Johnson, John Barbirolli, as well as by Sanger and his co-founder, John V. L. Hogan. The collection includes business letters, congratulatory and testimonial letters from listeners and advertisers, reports on the station's history, samples of newspaper clippings containing WQXR advertisements and program listings, market surveys of listeners, and promotional brochures prepared for prospective advertisers. There is a corrected typescript and galley proofs for Sanger's book Rebel In Radio (New York, Hasting House, 1972) and 6 volumes of documents in support of the station's application for "clear channel" status filed with the FCC. Also included are 49 photographs of the station's staff and musical personalities, 4 audiotapes of 1973 interviews with Sanger, and 4 audio cassettes celebrating WQXR's 50th Anniversary.
