Personal correspondence, speeches, subject files, photographs, and printed and miscellaneous material of Hogan. The correspondence, speeches, and other material relate primarily to his activities as District Attorney, and to his unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. Senate, 1958. The papers also reflect Hogan's deep concern for Columbia University, as a Trustee and a member of numerous alumni committees. Among the major correspondents are Harry J. Carman, Dwight David Eisenhower, Robert F. Kennedy, Arthur Hays Sulzburger, and Herbert Bayard Swope.

Manuscripts of essays and course notes taken while a student at Amherst College, 1884-1889, and at Berlin University, 1892-1894. Articles, addresses, essays, lectures, lecture notes and reading notes. Also included are diaries for the years 1936-1940 and correspondence concerning Amherst College, Columbia University, and Woodbridge's stay as a visiting scholar in Berlin, 1931-1932. Among his correspondents are: Frederick S. Allis, Secretary of the Amherst Board of Trustees; Stanley King, President of Amherst; and Nicholas Murray Butler, President of Columbia. Some photographs are also included.

Letters, notes, programs, photographs, and printed materials. The collection is comprised primarily of handwritten correspondence between Reiner and notable music figures including Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Lukas Foss, Darius Milhaud, Arthur Nikisch. Arnold Schoenberg, Richard Strauss, Igor Stravinsky, and Leo Weiner. Also of note, letters from writer and conductor Gian Francesco Milpiero and his wife Auna detailing wartime conditions in Italy (1946).

The collection consists of correspondence, a diary, manuscripts, memoirs, notes, a subject file, photographs and printed materials. Correspondence is primarilly addressed to Orlov and his wife. Manuscripts and memoirs, chiefly by Orlov, deal with Civil War topics. Orlov's diary covers the years 1918-1921. Notes are on World War II, and the subject file concerns the death of Orlov. Photographs include a group picture of a Gallipoli Society meeting in Prague. Printed materials include clippings, mimeographed materials, pamphlets and copies of periodicals, all relating to the Gallipoli Society.

Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, and printed materials of Georgiĭ P. Benningsen, brother of E.P. Benningsen and, in the emigration, an associate of Vladimir Burt︠s︡ev. Much of the correspondence consists of letters to Georgiĭ Benningsen by Burt︠s︡ev (69 letters from the 1920s). Manuscripts include Benningsen's memoirs about Burt︠s︡ev, copies of Burt︠s︡ev's (apparently published) memoirs, and notes. Printed materials are chiefly clippings on various topics. There are also scattered issues of 1917 Russian newspapers ("Nash Vek," "Russkoe Slovo"), and an autographed copy of Burt︠s︡ev's 1919 edition of Griboedov's "Gore ot uma."

Collection includes an untitled manuscript, a 712 page political tract, which deals with world events since 1914 in a strongly anti-Communist spirit; there are several drafts of a second treatise on a similar subject, which might have been intended by the author as a continuation of the first. This has been labelled "The Contemporary World Crisis." Also included are: multiple drafts of several shorter pieces on political-historical subjects; a few such pieces included in a single version only; a number of reports written to be delivered at emigre political congresses, chiefly those of the All-Russian National Union (Rossiĭskoe Nat︠s︡ionalńoe Obe̋dinenie); and some notes and jottings. Correspondence, manuscripts, notes, notebooks, documents, photographs, course-related materials, and printed materials. The manuscripts include typescripts of Sykes' published and unpublished novels, monographs, plays, short stories, and articles. Among these are The Perennial Avant Garde, The Cool Millennium, and The Hidden Remnant. Sykes' notes and notebooks span the period from the early 1930s to 1980, and include preliminary ideas and sketches for his books, as well as autobiographical material. A small number of documents concern Sykes' wartime work in the U.S. Government Office of War Information. Course-related material including writings and correspondence of students taught by Sykes between 1962 and 1975 at the New School and as an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Printed materials consist of numerous reviews of Sykes' books, in addition to offprints and articles by Sykes. Included as well are printed materials about or connected with Sykes, offprints of articles inscribed to him, and many volumes from his library. The substantial correspondence series includes personal letters and correspondence with agents and publishers relating to his books. Correspondents include Harold Clurman, Aaron Copland, Lawrence Durrell, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Francis Steegmuller, as well as a number of Sykes' students. There is extensive correspondence between Sykes and the artist John Hartell from 1927 to 1983.
