Collection includes 19 manuscript notebooks of poetry and prose; 42 titled articles in typescript form on religious, political, literary and autobiographical topics; several published collections of her poetry; and a folder of original drawings. Also included are three biographical articles by K. Mochulśkiĭ, M. Vishni︠a︡k and her mother Sofii︠a︡ Borisovna Pilenko, as well as her own childhood and that of her mother and grandmother during the era of Alexander I, Nicholas I, and Alexander II.

The papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, documents, original art works, bibliographic notes and material on exhibitions. There are letters from Aleksandr Benois, Mikhail Chekhov, Fedor Komissarzhevskiĭ, Georgiĭ Lukomskiĭ, Nikolaĭ Medtner, Vladimir Nabokov and Aleksandra Tolstai︠a︡, and one letter each from Ivan Bunin, Mikhail Fokin, Tyrone Guthrie, Sok Hurok and Serge Kusevit︠s︡kiĭ. The manuscripts include essays by Dobuzhinskiĭ on such topics as the Mir Iskusstva group, Pushkin's illustrations, Aleksandr Blok, Kuzḿa Petrov-Vodkin and Josʹe-Maria Sert. There are original art works (pen and ink, goache, etc.) relating to his artistic and theatrical productions. Also included are photographs of Russian scenes, apparently from before World War I.

The incomplete records of the New York State Library School, Albany, 1890-1911. Included are diploma lists, grade sheets, examination questions, examination questions with corresponding set of students' answers, pass cards, senior certificate lists, an admissions application, entrance examinations, curriculum materials, and some documents for the class of 1890. Also, records of the New York State Library School Association, Incorporated. In addition to letters from such prominent American librarians as Katharine L. Sharp, Joseph Wheeler, Ralph Munn, and James I. Wyer, there are minutes, reports, memoranda, and printed documents, including the Association's constitution. There is a scrapbook of blanks and forms used in the executive departments of U.S. libraries in 1893, mounted by the N.Y. State Library School for the American Library Association World's Columbian Exposition Comparative Library Exhibit (Chicago, 1893). Also, files of the school consisting of course materials, exams, publications of the School, student records, admission files, class lists and rankings, and some related correspondence.

Memoirs include a bound contemporary manuscript copy of the second part of Lorer's memoirs, entitled "Zapiski moego vremeni. Vospominanie o proshlom" (84 p.). There are also typed copies of two other parts of his memoirs: "Kampanii︠a︡ 1814-go goda" in "Les oeuvres libres" n. 134. Aug. 1932); and "Moi vospominanii︠a︡" (82 p.). In addition the collection includes notes and other materials relating to Lorer, his descendents, and the Decembrist movement.

The collection consists largely of printed materials (clippings and offprints), concerning the prehistory of the Middle East, Russia, and Europe. There are also some notes, texts of lectures, and a few letters.

Miscellaneous papers relating to the memoirists who were interviewed by the Oral History Office. Included are original papers, printed materials and microfilm copies of materials not retained by Columbia. One half of the collection consists of original notes, draft transcriptions, related correspondence and documents related to the Radio Pioneer Project. Of those papers only available on microfilm, about one-third have a list of contents

This includes 4 daybooks, a notebook of dreams, a notebook of poems, the manuscripts of "Der Kunstler;" (2) Correspondence between Freud and Rank between 1906-1924, including the controversy over THE TRAUMA OF BIRTH. 40 a.l.s. from Freud and typed copies from Rank, with a few letters to and from Ferenczi (3) Copies and some originals of the circular letters by members of the inner circle, Ernest Jones, Abraham, Eitingon, Ferenczi, Rank and Freud, 1920-1924 (4) Original handwritten manuscripts, typed copies, notes and corrections of Rank's major works (5) Rank's own listing and comments on his writings and publications (to 1930) (6) Rank's published works--20 titles.
