Sobolev's memoirs cover his childhood in Novgorod, the 1905 and 1917 Revolutions, World War I (during which Sobolev was active in the Imperial Army) and the Civil War, in which Sobolev participated in White Army campaigns in Onega, Murmansk and Arkhangelśk. Sobolev also discusses a number of newspapers with which he was associated, particularly "Novoe vremi︠a︡" "Russkoe slovo" and "Birzhevye vedomosti." The printed materials consist of a few newspaper clippings.

500 itemsCorrespondence, manuscripts, documents, subject files, maps, and clippings of Volkonskiĭ. The correspondence dates from 1905-1946 and chiefly concerns religious matters. There are letters from Russians at the Vatican, for emample, and some concerning Volkonskiĭ's financial affairs in emigration. The manuscripts are almost exclusively in the form of notes on church history. Volkonskiĭ was particularly interested in the possible merging of the Orthodox and Catholic churches. The documents include accounts and contracts. One subject files concerns a World War I field hospital, and another has extensive materials on the Ukraine during the period of the revolution and civil war (1917-1920).

200 itemsCataloged correspondence includes one or two letters each from Nikolaĭ Astrov, Vladimir Kokovt︠s︡ov, Evgraf Kovalevskiĭ, and Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich. There are also many letters from Migulin's sister in Leningrad from 1922-1938. Manuscripts by Migulin deal with financial and agrarian policies of the Tsarist and Soviet governments, the Russo-Japamese War, the causes of the Revolution, and reign of Nicholas II. There are materials concerning the education of Russian children in emigration in France, and printed materials which consist of an issue of "Chasovoĭ," some offprints and clippings.
