This collection contains a printed copy of a stone tablet at Sianfu, Shensi, China, reporting the introduction of Christianity into China in 634 A.D (showing only the Chinese text), and the envelope in which it was received by the Missionary Research Library from China.

This collection contains completed questionnaires from foreign missionaries, churches, and mission boards compiled by the Missionary Research Library in 1955 to research factors related to selection, training, placement, and withdrawal of missionary personnel.

Morton Fitch Trippe (a graduate of Auburn Theological Seminary) and his wife Sarah Louise were well-known missionaries with the Home Mission in the Allegany, Cattaraugus, Tonawanda and Tuscorora Indian reservations. The collection contains sermons given by M.F. Trippe; notes for sermons, annotated with the places and dates that the sermons were given; addresses on temperance or religious themes; documents of interest on matters concerning the Reservation and the land disputes of the 1880s – 1890s, as well as miscellanea such as portrait photographs and financial notebooks, quarterly reports to the Board of Home Missions, and correspondence; as well as various documents on the history of the reservations and Native American conditions collected by Sarah Louise Trippe, and a Daughters of the American Revolution Certificate in the name of the Trippes' daughter, Myra.

Nancy A. Hardesty was a church historian, feminist scholar, and Professor of Religion at Clemson University. The collection contains support materials for Hardesty's 1998 application for tenure at Clemson University, materials related to Hardesty's writings and publications, materials related to a proposed book about adult children of fundamentalists (ACOF), manuscript outlines of sermons, materials relating to the Evangelical and Ecumenical Women's Caucus (EEWC) conferences between 1975 and 2002, as well as personal and professional correspondence, journals, and speeches.

Nathaniel Clark Locke was a UTS alumnus of 1844, Presbyterian Minister, and home missionary working in Virginia and Maine, as well as a Pastor of Central Church in Brooklyn and Hempstead Church on Long Island. The collection contains 92 sermons written and delivered by Locke from 1843 to 1859, as well as lectures and essays.

Nathaniel William Taylor (1786-1858); Protestant theologian, professor, and founder of the Yale College Theological Department (later Yale Divinity School). The collection contains handwritten lecture notes taken by a student (possibly Joshua Leavitt) in Taylor's courses, as well as one bound manuscript volume of Taylor's "Mental Philosophy."

Nathan Sites was a missionary in Fuzhou, southeast China, under the auspices of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and an early proponent of a stronger, Chinese-led church in China. The collection contains journals, clippings, and a scrapbook.

The Council was an interdenominational consultative and advisory organization for Protestant Christian groups in China, founded in 1922 as a successor to the China Continuation Committee. The collection contains correspondence, publications, and organizational records including meeting reports.
