The Juan J. Linz papers contain correspondence, personal documents, awards, photographs, notes, writings, speeches, lectures and courses notes, research files, press coverage and interviews, and printed material, dating from 1920s to 2010. The materials also include one box of materials on Columbia Student Unrest in 1968. The collection provide an insight on Juan J. Linz's family and childhood as well as his education and his work as a political scientist and a professor.

The Julian Clarence Levi collection documents the life and activities of a twentieth century American architect and philanthropist. The collection consists of watercolor study drawings developed while Levi was a student at Columbia University and the École des Beaux Arts; architectural drawings, photographs and records for architectural projects designed and developed in association with his partner Alfred S. Taylor from 1907 until 1962; professional papers from various committees and societies Levi was associated with; personal papers and photographs, including documentation on his family and office, his academic and professional recognitions, public events, travels and social gatherings as a former Columbia alumnus; and various prints and photographs of buildings and European artists collected by Levi throughout his life.

Notes relating to and manuscripts of CASTRO'S CUBA, CUBA'S FIDEL by Lockwood. Included in the collection are ten tapes of a 22-hour interview with Castro. These tapes contain Lockwood's questions, Castro's answers, and Vallejo's translation into English. An edited transcript of these tapes, signed, and dated by Castro, is included.

Louis Henkin (1917-2010) was a prominent figure in international human rights law and taught at Columbia Law School for over sixty years. Henkin published more than twenty books on constitutionalism, foreign policy, human rights, and international law, and served as an expert member of the United Nations' Human Rights Committee. The collection consists of 22 linear feet of Henkin's professional record, primarily from the last twenty-five years of his career, and focuses on his teaching activity, writings, and work for the United Nations.

Manuel Ramos Otero Papers, circa 1920s-2007, bulk 1967-1992

Manuel Ramos Otero (1948-1990) is considered the first openly gay writer from Puerto Rico. He resided in New York City for much of his adult life. In 1990, he returned to his hometown of Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he died of complications from HIV/AIDS. The collection includes personal and professional correspondence, manuscripts, notebooks and notes, reviews, photographs, and newspaper clippings. These materials range in date from Otero's infancy to his death, 1948-1990. There is also a small section of the collection that contains material related to Otero posthumously, which dates from 1990 to 2007.

A large collection of the letters and manuscripts of Rafael de Zayas Enriquez, as well as a miscellaneous collection of letters and bills of sale pertaining to the activities of Marius de Zayas. The Rafael de Zayas Enriquez papers include letters, manuscripts, books, and clippings. His writings reflect his many and varied talents and interests: history, poetry, sociology, novels, and plays. His manuscripts and books comprise the bulk of this collection. The photocopies of letters to Marius de Zayas pertain to the magazine "291" and the Modern Gallery. There is correspondence from Pablo Picasso, Diego Rivera, Paul Guillaume, Max Jacob, Agnes Meyer, Alfred Stieglitz, Tristan Tzara, and Max Weber. The majority of these letters are unpublished although some of the most important ones appear in Michel Sanouillet's Francis Picabia et "291" (Paris, 1966).
