Copies of original and, at that time, unpublished manuscripts in various European libraries which deal with the activities and policies of the Inquisition in France around the 13th and 14th centuries, made by the French scholar, Charles Molinier (b. 1843). Included are a history of the Inquisition in Langue d'oc, interrogations by Brother Bernard de Caux, inquisitor, records of the Inquisition in Carcassonne, a chronicle of Guillem Pelisson, and writings of Brother Bernard Guidonis. Some of these materials were used by Molinier as sources for his published works, but apparently all of the materials here collected have not been published.

Charles Prospero Fagnani (1854-1940) was a Union Theological Seminary graduate of the class of 1882, an ordained Presbyterian minister, and a professor and professor emeritus of Old Testament languages and literatures at UTS from 1899-1926. The collection contains a speech given by Fagnani to the centennial celebration of the Société Asiatique in 1922, and related invitations, programs, ephemera, and notes from the event.

Collection of World War II propaganda materials, 1939-1945

A miscellaneous collection of World War II propaganda and memorabilia. Among the European items are samples of propaganda dropped from Allied aircraft, clippings, cartoons, and other printed ephemera in English, French, German, and Russian. For the war in the Pacific there is a complete set of Japanese language leaflets issued by the United States Army Forces, Pacific Area, Psychological Warfare Branch. These leaflets, including English translations, were used by General Douglas MacArthur's forces to induce the Japanese to surrender. In addition there is a collection of forty-eight German books removed from a German military field library and warehouse in France by American Army personnel. These works were revised during the 1930s to reflect the Nazi viewpoint. Also, a scrapbook of photographs and newspaper clippings on the laying of the cornerstone for a home for expectant mothers in Römhild (Thuringia) Germany, 1939.

Marvin D. Markowitz is a social science scholar and psychologist who carried out field research in Africa. The collection contains publications focusing on the Belgian Congo and Africa as well as two social science publications; Markowitz's writings on the Belgian Congo, including drafts and the final publication of a book review submitted to Africa Today; general writings on psychology and Markowitz's correspondence with several academic institutions; teaching materials; and psychological reports written by Markowitz.

Correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials of Curtis Hidden Page. This collection contains a correspondence of 51 letters between Page and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary E. Hidden, as well as other family correspondence. Much of his incoming correspondence relates to social and academic pursuits, and his publishing activities, including letters from William Stome Booth of Houghton Mifflin concerning Page's anthology entitled "Chief American Poets." There are many holograph and typescripts of his poetry and poetical translations. Most of the poems are in several stages of progress. Present also are notebooks containing lecture notes from his student days.

Daniel C. Dunham (1929-2000) was an architect, consultant, inventor, and educator best known for his architectural works in East Pakistan/Bangladesh and his consultancy work in developing nations throughout the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He was a professor at Columbia University and the City College of New York where he taught courses on solar energy, urban planning and tropical architecture. This collection documents Dunham's long-spanning and multi-faceted career. The collection consists primarily of papers from his consultancy and university work, though his early architectural work is present, mainly in photographic formats.
