Sailor, Sailor!, circa 1979-1982

Sailor, Sailor! (Sub-Series 2.4) includes the manuscript drafts for a work of prose written under the name Shylah Boyd between 1979-1982. This manuscript was titled Sailor, Sailor! and Sailor! Sailor! An Odyssey by Shylah Boyd. It was never published; however, the sub-series includes manuscripts in various stages of edits that were presumably being sent to editors and publishers.

Bound leather book that includes assorted poems, including "Electra" and "Sand." The bound collection is titled (in Whyatt's handwriting) as "Sand + other Poems." We believe that "Sand" and the section of The Book of Maps titled "Maps of Sand" are affiliated. It is also assumed that "Electra" is affiliated to a later collection of poems published as American Gypsy. Work signed by Frances Whyatt.

This collection of poems stands as its own work; however, it includes overlapping drafts that can be seen later published in collections such as American Gypsy. This collection of poems includes the section "Maps of Sand" which is also referred to as "Sand" in earlier drafts. This work was never published in full as its own collection of poems.
