A collection of letters from members of the Yeats family, including twelve letters from William Butler Yeats to Ellen Douglas Duncan, director of the Dublin Gallery of Modern Art, relating to public lectures and containing comments on the unrest in Ireland in 1918. There are also thirty letters from Elizabeth C. Yeats to Mary L. Sutliff dealing with publications of the Cuala Press. Family photographs with the annotations of Elizabeth Yeats, newspaper clippings, book reviews, and other printed ephemera are also contained in the collection. In addition, TALKING ABOUT YEATS, a 1967 television script by Micheál Mac Liammóir, and a related letter from Mac Liammóir; and a typescript catalog of Col. Russell K. Alspach's Yeats collection (not on microfilm).

The correspondence consists of general files, information, and correspondence about surveys on career patterns of women in publishing. The documents include incorporation papers and related information, membership lists, data on local chapters, reports of the board, minutes of annual meetings, and the elections of officers. The printed materials are chiefly issues of the NEWSLETTER

Forty-three letters to Witmark which were taken out of autographed books given to the University by Mr. Witmark. The letters are from leading authors and artists of the world, chief among them John Kendrick Bangs, Harry B. Smith, and Frederick Kummer. They are mostly friendly notes, some of them in connection with Witmark's requests that authors autograph books for his library. Also, eight manuscript music scores written by various composers including Victor Herbert for the wedding of Witmark and Viola Cahn; and printed matter including programs, clippings, and prospectuses, two autographed photographs, and a typescript catalog of the "Autograph Library of Isidore Witmark, Esq.".

Letters of White to his friend D.A. "Gus" Ellsworth. The letters are chiefly personal in tone although there are scattered references to White's books and articles.

Correspondence, manuscripts, memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents, account books, royalty statements and other financial records, photographs, printed materials, and card files of the Watkins Loomis, Inc. literary agency. The papers deal with editorial, financial, and legal aspects of publishing, magazine, theatrical and film rights, and all other personal and professional activities of their American and English clients. Among these clients have been Michael Arlen, Frances Hodgson Burnett, Theodore Dreiser, Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis, Carson McCullers, Ezra Pound, Ayn Rand, Dorothy Sayers, Gertrude Stein, and Dylan Thomas.

Correspondence, memoranda, press releases, documents, photographs, and printed materials of Watkins, reflecting his work with the Office of War Information during World War II.

The letters are written to various people and are partly social and partly business in nature. In some Warner gives advice about publishing matters; in others there are discussions of Warner's extensive public speaking engagements.
