Chinese oral history project collection, 1914-1989, bulk 1958-1980
37 Linear FeetThe Chinese oral history project collection (中國口述歷史項目檔案) provides a wealth of information on the development of the project and its interviews with eminent Chinese political figures abroad in the United States and Hong Kong from 1958 to 1980s. The completed interviews are described separately under the Chinese oral history project, while this collection provides context of creation for the interviews and additional historical documentation on interviewees. The highlights of the collection consist of the administrative subject files, correspondence, interview photographs and reports, transcript drafts, collected autobiographies and manuscripts, audio recording, and card files of names mentioned in the transcripts.

Hung-Hsun Ling papers, 1916-1974
0.4 Linear FeetThe Hung-Hsun Ling papers document Ling's life as a railway engineer and his contribution to the development of rail infrastructure in China during the Republican period. The papers include two manuscripts of his autobiographies and 14 photographs depicting him as an engineer taken during and after the construction of various railway projects in China and other locations dating from 1916 to 1965, as well as a portrait of him at age 80. The papers also include five books related to the history and the development of railways in China written in Chinese by Ling from 1954 to 1977.

Li, Zongren papers, 1944-1951
0.4 Linear FeetThe Li Zongren papers consist of materials on the life and political career of Li Zongren dating from 1944-1951. The materials were given to the Chinese oral history project during the oral history interview with Li Zongren. The papers primarily documented the period when Li was the Acting President of the Republic of China from 1949 to 1951 in the U.S. urging for assistance to stabilize the internal conflicts in China.
